Features

Your brain's guardian

Brain Bed sits in your menu bar, silently watching. When your cognitive load gets too high, it steps in.

Brain Fry Index

A real-time 0–100 cognitive load score. Calculated from your message velocity, number of active AI sessions, time of day, and how many alerts you've dismissed. Tracks Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and Codex CLI simultaneously.

Forced Meditation

When your BFI spikes, Brain Bed locks your keyboard and transforms your screen into a meditation space. A breathing circle guides you through 4-4-6-2 cycles while curated classical music — Satie, Debussy, Chopin — fades in. Inspirational quotes rotate gently. You can't work. You can only rest.

Smart Notifications

Context-aware alerts that explain why you should rest. Late-night coding? Rapid-fire prompting? Multiple sessions at once? Brain Bed tells you exactly what's pushing your cognitive load up — and only nudges you when it actually matters (Heating and Brain Fry stages).
